Wow the story is as cool as the car..what is really amazing, in this time of change, is a color combination can stand up to the test of time. I am looking forward to the detailed pictures.

Congrats Mike! I know you were really excited when we were chatting yesterday. That's a heck of a find, talk about low mileage. Now if it stops raining in the next month or so here in MD you'll actually get to drive it too :-)

I'd really love to see more photos also. It would be a great help for people here to know exactly what is "factory correct" and what is not.
Great color, great purchase, and now you have me drooling! Thanks

1992 Quasar Blue Metallic...1 of 215 made. produced March 31 1992
Today Chris Chessnoe of Callaway came by to see it. He is "Division Director for Bloomington Gold Certification, Survivor, and Benchmark, C4, C5, C6 , and Late Model, Special Interest Corvettes". One of his best lines came up. I asked him what he thought? He said.." Well you could always have bought the other one"...and then I am supposed to reply "What other one?" and he says exactly. It be tough to find another one like this.
I took some engine shots today while Chris was over and I will post them tonight before 10pm tonight...well worth viewing. I have viewed many Corvettes and Musclecars over the last 35 yrs of buying them and you would be hard pressed to find a 21 yr old car look this original, correct and clean.

I was at Spring Carlisle a few weeks ago, did anyone from the forum make it there? In the car corral, under the "garage" was a white 88, with 45 original miles on the odometer. That is right, only 45. The asking price was $27.5K, and the car had just sold. The seller told me he didn't quite get his asking price. He allowed me to take a number of photos, and even opened it up and let me sit inside. On the original plastic covering the seats, steering wheel, etc. It was like sitting in a time machine! I took quite a few pics, but I am kicking myself for not taking more. Once I get them uploaded I will post some links so that others can see how it is "supposed" to look. Looking forward to seeing your pics as well!
