Saw blade Wheels On A 1990 Corvette?
I have been looking for a used set of stock wheels for my 1990 Corvette. Along the way I have come to like the saw blade wheels that were stock on years following 1990. Which years can I use? I know that my stock rims are 17x9.5 all the way around. I see that the saw blades are commonly 17x9.5 on the back, but 17x8.5 on the front? Can I just use them like that? I have the same tire size all the way around, with the smaller rim on front are they still the same tire size all the way around? Do they swap right on and have the same back spacing? Up to what year can I use? Thanks ahead....

That depends - some Sawblades are either the same size or staggered
Stock 91-92
P275/40ZR17
Stock 93+ stagger
Front P255/45ZR17 (8.5X17)
Rear P275/40ZR17 (9.5X17)
Stock 91-92
P275/40ZR17
Stock 93+ stagger
Front P255/45ZR17 (8.5X17)
Rear P275/40ZR17 (9.5X17)

If you use 9 1/2" X 4 - use the same tire sizes as you have now. If you do the combination wheel set-up generally it's thought the larger tire doesn't do well on the 8 1/2" wheel. You should consider "down-sizing" the fronts if you do that.

Forgive my ignorance, but are you saying that 91 and 92 rims are saw blades but painted and the same specifications as my 1990's? I prefer the machined aluminum look of my 1990s. The main question I guess is, is the back spacing the same on all these rims and will virtually just work plug 'n play on my car? So I could take 4 1994 saw blade rears, properly sided and use them as 17x9.5 all the way around my car?

91 and 92 sawblades were painted and 9.5 X 17. The 93 and up sawblades were machined and were 8.5 X 17 on the front and 9.5 X 17 on the rear. They should all fit on your 1990 with no spacers and no problems. You can get 4 9.5 X 17 sawblades from 1993 to 1996 and use them if you wish.

Thank you very much...if everything said here is correct, all my questions are answered. I have seen listings of these rims saying they fit 93-95 etc...so that threw me off a little, but I should be fine now....thanks
