1984 vett wont start when hot
My 1984 vett wont start when hot and when i turn the key the dash light wont light up headlight and horn will still work but no power on the dash till it cools down. car has new battery new starter and new alternator. need your help thanks

thanks for the reply what it dose is when i go to start it its like the car is dead, wont crank or fire up no power to the dash but yet the headlights and horn still work after i let the car cool down it starts right up

could also be your starter solenoid getting heat soaked. I had thie issue with mine, and I put on a Summit-branded min-starter. I haven't had it again.
Those big GM starters sit really close to the exhaust.

I would say if that what your car does, when it's hot,no start, and when cold starter cranks, that's were I would look to get diagnosed.
I replaced my starter when it occurred and put heat shield on it so it would never happen again. That was over 20 years ago, still cranking strong.
