Not too much information on that short article. Ah, I see someone else started a post on it also.....

Also the black ZR-1 Spyder
I would think that the NCM would not want their employees at risk. Article states that the NCM will be open today.

I wasn't surprised to hear this. Growing up in Bowling Green we used to go cave exploring all the time. The whole region is on top of cave systems and there are sink holes everywhere in BG. Very, very sad news though.

The event brings up a number of questions:
- Is that area a good place for something like the Corvette museum?
- Did the engineers anticipate and build structural supports for this possibility? Could the materials have been substandard?
- Didn't anyone test the ground for potential sinkholes? How hard is it to drill a core to test for potential issues?
- Do I smell a potential lawsuit?

I'm just saddened at the loss of those cars. I'm sure they will be restored once they are extracted. I hope this doesn't affect the museum or plant tours this summer. The wife and I were planning our first trip down there.

This is awful. I was just there in late june when they had a special event where tadge and harlan were there and it was the first time the public was allowed to sit in C7's. What also sucks was the majority of cars damaged were some special C4's and of course the assclowns in OT made some jokes in poor taste.

I think that sink holes were probably not on anybody's mind when the museum was built. They've just been making the news the past few years because there seem to be many more of them showing up. We've had a few around here, and now new construction, especially in rural areas, must take in to account the topography before any building can commence.

Hate to see the 1 millionth Corvette a part of the sink hole count. So much for the originality. Now they'll fix it with new paint, glass, whatever else with replacement parts on a car that never should have needed it. Guess it's better than having no 1MM car and it can be used to tell a story about the car in future tours. No doubt the body panels were messed up in that fall.

4 C-4's truly hurts. With that said, any of them have a dash pad and a air box in good condition, how much and what would the shipping be to California. Sorry but I had to do that.
