Without the air pump delete bracket/pulley, I'd check and make sure the serpentine belt doesn't "flap" too much, especially if used for racing applications. That looks like a long way across the engine with no pulley, especially when you torque the engine.

Very nice build!

The only part left from original engine is the p/s bracket. The idle pulley is adjustable, and i made it from a boat engine setup (boat tech, 22 years). These engines turn 5500 rpm all day long, 100% power, and in fact go across the top of engine like mine another 6 inches. Never had a belt issue. If it looks weird in photo its only mocked up, the belt isnt tight.

Thanks for the compliment!

Reverse pattern manual valve body is just that. Instead of PRN4321, its now PRN1234. Works perfectly with a ratchet shifter (i have the BandM megashifter) Otherwise when you shift from park to drive, it would now be 4th, and the car would stall. There are no upshifts, or downshifts - you control it. Other advantages too, like its easier to pull the shifter back to upshift, and slowing down its easier to push forward to downshift. Had a few cars this way - i think its the only way to go.

Have to have hedders coated while i drop engine in. Trying to find a Y-pipe in the meantime. This was the engine mocked up to run up and check over. Had water to it, ran for about 10 mins or so - no issues. Im a happy camper.

How are you going to trim around the shifter? Using the original cover trimmed to fit?

Everything is looking great!
