Glad to hear the progress! Does make one a bit proud to get a project moving under its own power. Good luck with the rest of the project.

A little closer with every part you complete. Hang in there and good luck with the completion of your C4 project.

Nice car you have and some nice work 👍 if I may ask you , just where do you have your roll bar main hoops welded ? On the floor or on the shelf . Getting ready to do a bar this winter . Thanks

Thanks! We did the roll bar in 2005 i think. The main hoop sits perfectly on the 'shelf'. Had to split the difference on height as to not cut your rear view mirror in half, and also be able to get the Halo trim piece back on. When i sit in car i see the bar in mirror, but not bad enough to get on my nerves. I added some plates to reinforce it. The 2 main bars that run down the sides attach to a bracket we made ( when i bought the kit back then, the company sent me a pallet of steel as they had no dimensions for a C4) Only issue here i have to address is the e-brake hits it (once again, also when i did this the swing out bars were not legal in any kind of racing class). When my seat is out to be fixed, ill make an extension thats offset to make the e-brake useable.

In the rear, the bars go directly above the centerline of the axle. Only thing we did here was make brackets that brought the bar outboard more. This allows me to still store the targa top there (even though i plan to never have the top on!). The cutout was foamed shut, then i fiberglassed over it. Looks factory.

In all, the bar was fairly easy, almost like the car was designed for it, I have a ton of pics if you need any other help, PM me. Thanks again!
