What did you do to your C4 today?

Started identifying why my 1990 C4 has the dreaded hot running engine
I purchased my Corvette last August and ever since then the temp gauge climbs quick when at a standstill. After determining the primary radiator fan does not spin when the A/C is on I made a jumper and connected Pin A - B on the OBD connector inside the car. Only the passenger side fan turned on. That seemed easy enough, picked up a new fan motor and followed the Chilton repair manual steps on replacing the motor. After removing the four bolts holding the fan motor in I now see I am going to have to remove the fan shroud. Luckily there is a great thread under the C4 Tech/performance section called "How to remove Radiator (Late C4), includes all the steps and pictures. So that's my next step, plan to finish this weekend.

disabled power antenna, found a relay taped into what looks like the main power feed? large gauge wire, the toggle on it is stuck in the ON position, guessing the last own didn't know about it. wonder if its kills all power like a battery dis-connect is just part power. Its in the main bundle near power booster on drivers side.

Technically it was Saturday, finished off the Banski Camber Rod kit. Had a problem with the clearance on the lower knuckles and damaged lower boots (apparently early C4's may have had less clearance than later ones on the knuckles). While replacing those I drilled the bolts for cotter keys to insure they stay on regardless (just an additional warm and fuzzy above using Loctite). Last part up will be the toe rod kit then it's off for an alignment.
Of course the weather was nice and the streets and alley were clear of snow and ice so I took her out for a few blocks to insure everything was as it should be

And you only need them when something goes to sh*t so you know what went to sh*t. Other than they being stylish they are essentially useless until the sh*t happens.

Cussed it when I pulled into the fire station and the electric door locks wouldn't work. Pulled the fuse box cover to start there and found the circuit breaker had fallen out of the fuse box. ALWAYS start with the simple things first.
Cleaned the ground on the frame rail behind the battery (braided ground cable from the engine block). Hopefully this will fix the cluster issues without pulling it apart again.
Bled the clutch slave cylinder.
