Drove my '87 for a little over 75 miles today. And, to my amazement, I came home with the same amount of oil, antifreeze, etc. that I left with. Not bad for a car that sat in storage for 20 years before I got it out last fall.

I'm still not happy with the feel of the brakes. Not bad, but I'm not satisfied with them yet.

put in passenger side headlight motor gear and pellets and replaced drivers side power seat cable. I have discovered that working on my 21 year old Vette is akin to working on gold wings. If it can go wrong it will. Seized bolt/screw in headlight motor...... took some doing but got it out, original pellets turned to powder......
Seat adjustment on this beast is finicky. front up and down will only operate if seat is all the way forward..........

Didn't have the chance to post this here yesterday, but I replaced the A-pillar weatherstripping on my '94. A couple of hours to get the old stuff off, but the new went in very nicely.

Used the 3M adhesive, and a coat of Dynatex silicone compound. Now that's done, I can order the new roof panel in time for summer.

Default Repaired Drivers Side Hush Panel

I bought a hush panel for the drivers side from a forum member who was parting out a car (along with some other parts). Unfortunately I don't think he realized that there were a few pieces broken off and missing. Fortunately ky old hush panel had the missing pieces so, I cut out the good section from my old one (the section next to the hood release handle) and molded another piece using Plastex for the section that's attached by the pedals near the firewall.

Here are the missing/broken sections before the repair:

Here's the section I cut out and spliced in using Plastex to fill in the gaps and JB Weld behind it for extra strength:

Then I molded the missing piece for down by the firewall from my old panel:

The finished product:

Drained the old windshield wiper fluid (it was atleast 8 years old) doubt it goes bad, but I had a fresh gallon laying around so I figured why not.

New exhaust from stock manifolds, no cats, x pipe, stock style mufflers. Even with the stock style Wagner mufflers has a nice sound. Local muffler shop did a great job, wish I had taken pictures while it was on the lift.

Removed the bezel to have it milled out for a double DIN stereo, and disassembled the drivers side door to clean out the broken glass and install the new window. looks like the door panels are not original, the car originally had the BOSE system, and the doors have the cutouts and some stray bits but the panels don't have the cutouts. Anybody know what size the speakers in the top of the dash are?

Fixed the broken spring on the shifter (auto) that kept the button from coming up and letting me pull the key out of the ignition, Also cleaned the shifter mechanism and applied fresh grease. Now she's smooth. Also fixed the broken hinge on the ashtray door.

Test start complete, after distributor move. Thought I had it to the wrong side but didn't want to pull the cover to check the arm. After rotating other way, started!

Then some noob freakout from exhaust manifold smoke and "why won't this start....Ah, out of fuel!!", finally got to closed loop and called it a day. Phew!

Opened my 12 ton press from Harbor Freight, turned out 3/4 of the stuff in one box was not there. Up and down day, a-yep!

Default DynoPad placed in rear

Hi Corvette Lovers. Laid down Dyna Pad, 3/8" in the hatchback area and cover over with a rubber place mat. Also placed under driver's side floor board and covered with floor mat. Really noticed a quieter
interior while driving.

Monday bought 4 KYB shocks for 120.35 - 40 dollar rebate.
Today installed 4 KYB shocks and cleaned inside of rims with Armor
All Extreeme wheel cleaner and a green pad. Much nicer
Then brought back Monroe sens a trac(car was bouncing along freewy after they got hot)
Received credit for 106.00 Thus +25 ish in the positive.
I would not use Monroes in the c4. My Dream of Vegas and back is without any bouncing .c;unking, vibrating, wobbling is closer now.
