Default My Fix the oil leak project

New U-Joints, rear tran seal and new speed sensor. Still need to clean up the tran. This should fix the tran oil leaks.

Down to the timing chain. It's a little loose so I'll be changing that out too since I don't want to ever need to do this again.

Tomorrow I'll be cleaning up the block and parts so I can install the new seals and gaskets. Will get a timing set on order and when it shows up, it will be time to put it all back together,

Two days ago I vacuumed out my 96 and my 89, then yesterday I sold the 96 back to its previous owner.

Next for the 89, I need to pull codes and see what sensors need replaced, and put new polarized film on the speedo.

Started getting it ready for paint yesterday. I used to do body work for a living, but I don’t have the space to spray it myself so I’m doing the prep and letting a local shop I know spray it. I like a clean no emblem look, so I pulled the hood and fuel lid emblems and filled the holes.

Default A long list of things

It’s not what I did ‘today’ but for a week. New heater core, VSS, ductwork, center core vacuum box, fuel filter, and to end on today the starter. Whew.

I haven't decided if I will lower the front or not, there is a gap above the front tires
but I like not scraping the front end on speed bumps.
what length bolts got you 2" ?

Took some last pictures of it after washing it before we take it to the paint shop tomorrow. I have removed over the winter the spoiler, all moldings except front and rear bumper, all emblems on the hood, gas door, and rear bumper, all lights except fog lights, headlight doors and bezels, front license filler, mirrors, targa top trim, and window sweeps.

Got the CAGS bypass done on the '89 MN6 by just cutting the wire from the relay to the solenoid.

Now I can focus on shifting techniques instead of having that issue on my mind.
