Digidash, nice looking Vert; is it '88 or '89?

catso, did you use a leather refinish kit or a spray can?

Thanks! It‘s an ‘89 six speed. The only thing wrong with it is the price is not appreciating

Drove up to Oulton Park on Thursday with my friend in his LT1. We went the scenic way up through Wales and then across to England. Nice clear run, decent weather! Then on Friday we were booked on to a drifting day at Oulton Park circuit. Only £120 for the day, 9-5 with a lunch hour. Both our cars behaved well (my power steering fluid got pretty hot so going to refresh that) They wetted the track occasionally, which made it very easy to get my ZF6 TPI sideways! Fantastic fun and something different to the usual track day. The previous owner of my car never drove it in the rain, sucker! Good shakedown ready for a roadtrip to Spa next month with some track time there too

Looks like you got her more than a little sideways...
But then g-forces are fun from any angle; way to enjoy your Vette.

Yes, I drive it on weekends mostly.... I keep it clean... just one of my hobbies... If it gets a leak, it gets fixed asap...

I tried mixing up the grey dye from some Angelus dye colors I bought but I didn't really hit the color right. Either I will continue mixing and experimenting or I will submit a sample of the leather (cut from a hidden spot) to a place like the Seat Doctor or some other place that will formulate the dye for me. For now the bolster looks OK, but it's not exactly the correct color. If anyone has suggestions on dye matching I am very interested.

catso, if you have the bolster "repaired" and the leather is OEM maybe an interior spray die would be a good avenue.

I've watching some vids by TheCorvetteBen and he uses said spray dies on C3 seats as he restores them.

I finished installing everything on mine the other day after it’s paint. Only thing left is the emblems and targa trim and I left that off because they are going to buff it.

i talked to the exhaust shop today and they should be installing my headers on Wednesday. Did you ever get the sound clip? I’m going to try to remember to get one before and after. I’m only changing the headers since it already has duals in it from last year to hear the difference of just headers. I don’t think it will be much louder but just a better tone to it.

Very little if any "peal" in that job, doubt it will take much buffing.

well it has a grainy feel to the paint on the top parts of the car which I’m pretty sure is some overspray. I talked to them and they said it’s easy for that to happen from sitting in the shop for a bit before we picked it up. So they told me to stop by and they will buff it whenever I get the time to bring it back.

Me and the old man replaced the radiator and fixed a few vacuum lines and repaired the trans cooler line. Cleaned the overflow tank and such. Gonna run it a few days with water then flush it out and antifreeze her up

Drove it in the rain, and when it stopped raining drove it some more!

and then learned about how the cars security system works. (1st C4)
wont start, clicking in dash behind center console.
lock then unlock drivers door with key, started right up after that.

Just a little something I did the other day.
Did the Fuel rail covers a while back and just now got the ASR done.
