Burning Brakes
Well not today but last week.
Replaced the brake pads. OMG easy on a Corvette. Removed the starter, cleaned up the solenoid, reinstalled and voala works like a champ again.
Next:
Replace the EGR valve and valve cover gaskets.

Tore into the heater core last week on the 89. Taking my time but having difficulty finding anything that looks close to the original core. Had questions and started a thread. Will post pictures if and when I finish! Ha ha

New O2 sensor. Can only clear the same code so many times before it has to be acknowledged Thank goodness OBD2 tells you which one of the 4 is bad.

Finished up my injector replacement project but snapped a thermostat housing bolt installing a new 180 thermostat.
Torch, PB blaster, ATF/Acetone, freeze spray, welding a nut on the stub, easy outs, 4 different vice grips....nothing would budge it.
Morning: Drilled it out with Bosch Glass and Ceramic bits from Home depot to 5/16 and tapped it out to the original threads.
Afternoon: installed the runners, plenum, TB, and fired her up for a nice long ride. Car's running great.

Almost all the way. Enough that you can get things out easily. Theres 2 different thickness pads you can choose from. I got the thinner one. Frankly, i dont care if it opens all the way. It looks great and is really comfortable to lay your arm on.

Unfortunately, all I did today was walk past it in the garage. I did, however, order SS brake hoses last night in hopes of installing my C5 front brakes next week.

Yesterday I replaced the ZF6 transmission oil, replaced the rear axle LS oil, bled the brake fluid and clutch fluid, lubed the suspension and cleaned all the old nasty dirty caked grease off the ball joint boot areas. Two weeks ago I pulled a few spark plugs for inspection (car only has 53k miles), replaced the serpentine, freshened up the coolant and power steering fluid, cleaned the throttle body and MAF sensor, and had 2 new factory mufflers installed.

Some interior upgrades...
Started yesterday about 1 PM and finished up around 5:30 or so. I'm very happy...the interior really looks a LOT different now.
Old, tired drivers seat...
Side by Side Comparison...both have seat rails installed on them.
Drivers side installed...
From the passenger side...
All done and ready to roll!
