I got big for arms too but if you try it at the right angle (the angle is key) it can be done by pushing on the entry tab, but watch out you can get your arm stuck in there.
If you find a person with slim arms they need to be long too to get up there.
You might want to switch to LED replacements, they last longer so you don't have to change them for a long time.
It's an outer one. I tried every angle I could think of and almost did get stuck. In fact, the fuel door emblem came up because I took the entire door off on the off chance there was enough of an opening under it to try from there instead of underneath.

Plan C or D (or...) is a daughter's BF who is on the skinny side, but with long arms.

The LED thought has occurred to me. If and when I find a way/person to access them, I may just go that way.

You did take the inner one out first correct? That one has to come out to do the outer one.

I didn't, but it didn't look like that would make any difference (it's a 1990 convertible, maybe that affects the accessibility?).

I'm not at home to look now, but don't remember the inner one being 'reachable' for me either. But worth having my next guinea pigs try if they can't reach either.

Take your license plate off. Reach in through the plate hole and remove the inner stop lamp. Then you can reach your arm through the inner stop lamp hole to get to the outer stop lamp. Some people can reach up from underneath but if you can't them you have to do that. It's fun.

Ahhhh... the intermittent/frequently malfunctioning bulb over my head goes on! Thanks!

I think I have most of the day free tomorrow, I'll have to give that a shot. My oldest grandson has been bugging me to pick him up from school in the Corvette.

A bit hard to tell with the lighting - but I removed the taillights and went at them with Meguiar's Ultimate Compound. The top left was the first one done, the others hadn't been treated yet.

You can see how much it helped. But Im wondering if they will cause them to haze up later like headlights seem to do when you polish on them.

That stuff works a treat. I had pretty badly cloudy and yellow headlight lenses on my 18 year old DD, but a pass or two with Ultimate Compound and it was amazing how much they cleared up.

Drove it, and made sure I have not lost my spare set of taillight lenses.

Same here - first used it on the headlights of my 23yr old daily driver - worked great

Installed the hifonics old school amp in the back on my 87 convertible and discovered an awesome speaker setup under the carpet to plug it into

A few owners ago someone installed jl audio speakers under the carpet.

Sounds GREAT.

Not me. "Today" (yesterday, actually) I drove mine ~700 miles, from Park City, UT, to McClure pass, CO and back. Ran flawlwessly and averaged 27mpg for the trip.
