fixed ABS light
I had an ABS light staying on so I looked in front of the left rear wheel and found broken wires. Terminated 2 white wires and light went away. Also checked the rear pads and e-brake shoes. Bobby

Yes, I know the C4 colors. I call mine the Ruby. Had a Polo Green also. I almost bought two admirals before I bought my Ruby. I put the confused, because I don't see how you change the oil without putting the car on jack stands, ramps or a lift

"It's a stretch", so to speak, but the tricky part was finding a drain pan, whether it was a DIY pan or a "store bought" pan that was low profile.

took a 280 mile trip Tuesday and noticed a slight miss at times, pulled the plugs and found 2 were starting to foul so I changed all plugs. a little over on oil change so changed oil also.

Put the key in ignition and it started like always.
Took a 10 mile 70 mph run at 5 miles with ac on and 5 miles
with it off...with the ac on the digital temp gauge ran between 195
and 200 hundred degrees. With ac off it ran between 190 and 195.
From what I gathered on this forum that it running cool.I have read
numbers anywhere from 220 to 230 is normal setting in traffic...I
wish i could get it down about 10 degrees...but if that is normal I think
I will leave things be...radiator is two years old and...I always check it
and ac condenser to make sure there is no trash...coolent is full.Any one
else got any temp numbers they can throw out there today?

thermostat...I know that the temps have a lot to do with the rich and lean
conditions...I just see 220 and 230 temps mentioned all the time on CF.I still say that is way to warm.May put a new thermostat in it and just leave it alone...Learned long time ago if you start messing with things that work you can open up a can of worms...

Had the opposite. Went to start mine, nothing. It had been sitting a while, so I threw the battery charger on it, the underhood lights came on when I plugged it in, so all good, right?
When the green light came on and I was disconnecting everything, I noticed the positive lug on the battery seemed a little loose. Grabbed a wrench out of the toolbox and went to snug it up and snug, snug, spin...
WTH? Tried again, same thing. This is a new battery that I only put in a month or so ago and I haven't fiddled with it since then. Don't know why it would have stripped.
Family stuff going on this week, then leaving for a week long cruise with my sweetie, but once I'm back I need to pull the side panel and battery and find out what's going on. Sometimes it's like every time I solve one problem I knew of with the car it decides to provide two new ones for me to solve.

Started the lovely project of installing a replacement radiator from Pat at see4parts. I find that a disposable roasting pan works well to drain coolant into w/o jacking the car.
It really wasn't too bad - got the old one out and discovered someone had tried to postpone a leak with some kind of compound. After buying the car in Feb. I cleaned as best I could in front of the radiator, but it was still pretty nasty....
Dropped in the used one and noticed I only have this rubber piece that goes on top of the radiator and the A/C condenser on one side. Is it supposed to be on the other side too?

Replaced exterior window sweeps on both doors and wired in Corvette Centrals cooling fan override switch. Also finished up patching a hole in the floor pan with some 2 part SMC. Been a busy weekend.

Now that the rains in the Dallas area have finally subsided, I got her out of the garage (first time in weeks) and got the top off for a quick sun-drenched drive. Also got myself a grommet kit and fixed the carpet which had come loose from under the rear hatch, causing it to sag.

Busy weekend,
Changed upper and lower radiator hoses along with the belt. Cleaned the throttle body while I had her apart...nothing in depth, just a couple cans of spray. Changed out the throttle body cover thing with a red aluminum one, just a little bling since I'm cleaning and dressing the engine now. Changed oil. Changed out the other (driver) headlight gear and pellets. Changed all the taillights and fog lights with LEDs...wow it's a difference and probably won't use headlights for in city driving now. Swapped out intermittently inoperable rear amps for ones from a Nissan. Work amazing, direct fit, and snagged both of them for $35. Then spent the rest of the day detailing her to near perfection. This car is amazing and I've been really lucky with the outcome of the projects so far.
Next weekend I'll install the alternator/compressor cover, and I'm thinking about painting the ECM...think that's what it's called. Can I remove it for painting the top and then reinstall without issues? Then I’m going to detail the cowl area.
Thanks for any insight.
