Changed the blower motor, the old one was grumbly and feeble. New one was only about £12 and super easy to change!

Hey guys, quick question. Tomorrow, I'll be putting on my new wheels. My car is a z07, so it has 275s all around. Size will stay the same upfront, but the rears will now be 315s. Will I need to get a new alignment?

But Have had other Corvettes , have a 1991 ZO7 w 275-40-17" all 4 corners w/ Pirreli PZeroes w/about 75% tread ! I want 315s on rear I think it looks Boss from behind ! I like those Nitto 555 or Nitto o1s but read the Forum I'm almost positive I have read that depending on back spacing you run into rubbing in the rear sidewalls sometimes the passenger side because I remember thinking of going to Maybee a shorter sidewall but w/ a ZO7 let's face it any help in smoothing out the road id rather go to Maybee 265-35-17" instead of 275-30-17" you really loose Tire Options because of the 17" Rim ! But spend some time and sniff around the Forum ALOT OF GREAT INFO ! And You Tube is great help on DIY projects ! But I remember also a forum member selling 315s because of rubbing issues and another asking if it could cause a fire ??? I was just shaking my head forget about fire how about loosing the rear tire bouncing Down highway at 75 - 80
MPH now that is the issue I would be concerned about and if it's to tight not a lot of room to let air disapate heat from tires ? I'm sure you will get a few more confusing posts also rim 8.5-9.5-or ZR-1s 11" because it needs to fit Rim not bulge or stretch to make it ?

It's a 17x11, so I won't be stretching it with a 315 by any means. 56mm offset, same as factory for the new wheels.

I was just trying to find the link I thought I had read but I gave up ! If it fits with no rubbing please Post some pics and tell what tire you went with ! I was a teenager in the 70s so I love the looks of a wide tire even TUBBED WITH COOKIE CUTTERS UP FRONT !!! No cookies up front on a road car but a car going 1/4 mile at a time bring it on ! Hey good luck Tommorow on the new sneakers my next set I will go with straight summer tires suppose to ride alittle nicer than the all season and when am I or anybody else going out in snow and I live in north eastern USA ! That is why I was commenting on my tread left ? I will suffer with them until they get thin ! Have been Seriously been looking at the RSD LINELOCK KIT to speed up situation for new tires plus it would be fun probably pull trigger soon

You shouldn't need a new alignment because of the different wheels/tires.

Also the size is not an issue. Both the 275/40/17 and the 315/35/17 are 25.7" diameter so no speedometer issues either.

Make sure to post some pictures when you get them put on.

No alignment needed, but you might have the settings checked while it's at the shop anyway (if they do alignments at your tire shop).

At first I was also concerned about the wheel sizes. But it sounds like you are fitting a 275 on 17x9 up front and a 315 on 17x11 out back, so you will be fine.

Enjoy the ride

I watched garage dust settle on my freshly waxed Vette. The town is paving our neighborhood and cut off the apron on our driveway over 2 weeks ago and then decided to work somewhere else - leaving me with a little cliff to drive over. Given that our driveway is steep to begin with and my wife's Subaru scrapes I haven't even attempted it with the Vette.

Just waiting it out but at he pace they are going it will be mid July before it is done

When these things are healthy, they don't sound half bad. And the cost to repair (electrolytic caps) is CHEAP!
I'm new to corvettes. Restoring a 1994. Noticed some electronics in the storage compartment behind the drivers seat. Is this the Bose amp. you mentioned? Car came w/o a radio and no antenna wire near the radio mounting hole. How does the amp. hook to the radio? I plan on an aftermarket radio in the future.

The bin behind the drivers seat contains the ABS pump and control unit. The passenger side bin compartment pulls out and there is Bose equipment beneath.

Added a Corvette Central muffler elimination set with the black Lt1 tips. Wow what a wonderful difference! Love the growl! And only $250 installed.

Got my Fikse FM5s put on today! Will get you guys better pics. Need to order new orings for the center caps, and hopefully I can find some ruby red center caps for them. The 315s sit very flush. And yes, they wheels are actually dirty at the moment.

Had a new custom head liner made to my specs with a 1.25" diamond pattern. It's not really as "intense" as the pic makes it out to be.

The intent was to mimic the new headliner used on the 2017 C7 3LT but where Chevy used alcantara I had the upholstery shop use a leather look vinyl. It will stand up to wear much better.

I really like the effect it has on the interior.
