What did you do to your C4 today?

I was able to fit all of the electronics, plugs and ballasts behind the actual unit within the flip top headlight compartment. So when you actually lift open the bonnet it all looks stock.

Put her on the road. Bought tags and insurance, then took her out for a nice hour cruise on the back roads around here.

Picked up a C7 Z06 hood vent off a forum member for a decent price. My radiator is tilted because I wanted to lose the weight of skid plates and rad housing but keep the radiator above the cradle for protection. Going to try and integrate the vent into the hood this weekend. Not running a front crash pad, so air coming through the front bumper hits the radiator and vents through a DIY duct up through the hood vent. I’ve already hacked up the hood with a nostril for cold air intake and aero catch latches, so this should be the last surgery done on the hood.

Had my first little "race" last night. Rolled up on the *** of a 5th gen Mustang GT coming off an interstate exit last night. Saw the Mustang's *** drop and heard the exhaust roar, so I downshifted and hit it. Mustang got passed.

As for how my car fared, I was doing around 45 mph when I saw him hit it, and my speedo said 83 mph as I was passing him and letting off the gas (if I had to guess, the mustang was doing about 80 at that point).
It's no big win or anything like that. Not like it was a Coyote powered Mustang. Probably nothing more than a basic 4.6L GT (which is really very close to the LT1 C4 performance specs wise).

Pulled the bose amps and packaged them up to ship to Dr. Dons. Going to do the wood glue coating on the speakers tomorrow. Forecast is rain so a good little indoor project.

Bought a welder.
So couldnt help it since it was on sale finally bought a 125amp welder. Hopefully one day will fabricate a simple rear mount low boost turbo set up for my 88. I put in an order from some side skirts for my c4 and installed a simple rear diffuser.

Drove to a meet up in Bristol, about 1hr from me in Cardiff, UK. It's here 2 years ago that I saw my car and bought it! Always a great selection of stuff, couldn't believe how much salt was on the roads though!

I put my car back on the road!
Hadn't planned to do it this early but realized last Thursday that the DD was way low on gas... And that payday wasn't for another ten days...AND the 'Vette had a full tank and a charged battery.
So I went out and replaced the driver's side rear speaker assembly with one that has a good amp.
And drove it to Columbia (about 34 miles or so). Made really good time for some reason. Even with the traffic.

Wood Glue speaker coating
Fill me in on what the wood glue coating consists of and what are the results suppose to be?

Bose speakers have a sound that is considered "warm" due to the paper cones and equalization. Adding a thin coat of Elmers carpenter wood glue can clean up the sound and help them pop. Its different and only you can say if its better. Search this forum for the instructions, does and donts.

Post #3427 on this page has a pic of it unless it’s not showing. It’s not pretty but it’s in there. I thought I was going to knock it out in a few hours but I spent way more time than I should have making sure it was centered. Worked out well and the tilted radiator has the Ford Taurus fan pointing right at it, so I may not have to make a duct.
