Replaced the drivers side O2 sensor. (Was telling the computer that it was lean when it wasn't. It was adding so much fuel, the car had no power, and I could have given diesels a run for their money in a "coal rolling competition" LMAO!! Also changed the oil and the ZF6 trans fluid, as well as replacing the transmission drain plug since one of the previous owners mashed the hell out of it. They must have hit something hard!

dug into my headlight gear..the GEAR is fine (as expected), its the 3 plastic pellets that are (were...since they are dust now) the problem.

That large pile of dust is whats left of the 3 shiny new pellets you see next to the gear. the gear itself is good as new (26 years old) so if your lights just make noise when activating them BUT they function, then its just the pellets but if your lights don't activate (move) are do but aren't in sync...THEN you should buy new gears as well.

I think I will just bypass it for right now as I don't need it here in Fort Lauderdale near as much as the AC.
It seems a lot of guys do that down here since replacing the core is a PITA.

Just had a new top put on my 95. All new weatherstripping. I opted for made in the USA. The guy who installed the top sais there is a difference and it was worth it.

Got to redo the valve cover gasket job I did 4k miles ago because I decided to be a cheap A$$ and skimp on the gaskets the first time I did it. This time through I opted in getting the thick, premium one since the previous gasket leaked like there was no gasket there. (Like everyone says, and myself, you get what you pay for.... I tried my luck and failed lmao)

I tried to drive it, but the starter just clicked. I charged the battery and it wouldn't hold a charge.

The good news is that the battery was still under free replacement warranty. I picked up the new one this morning and now good to go for no cost.

Designed and installed a new feature into the remote keyless entry system in my '84. I can now close the windows within 30 sec. of turning off my ignition key . . . just like a "modern" car! No need to turn on the ignition to close my windows!

Attacked shifter **** rattle. Put in aftermarket liner for acrylic top. (As others have said, I had to trim the tabs.) Ordered emissions system parts. Let's see, only 20 or a hundred more things on my C4 to do list.

Default Stack of parts ready to go on

Yesterday my front porch must have looked like a shared terminal for UPS, FedEx and USPS..sorry DHL. My new KYB front and rear shocks, prothane bushing kit, connector for the passenger front marker light, front and rear main seals, oil pan and gasket, smog pump delete kit and lots of other gaskets, relays and lots of other little bits ..etc arrived. She is ready to be "unbubbafied" for spring.

I'm still working on the wife to get the hood fixed. The PO must have either had a cable break or they left something on top of the passenger side engine compartment because the hood is cracked on top and bottom (bottom side is cracked through the box support). They did a shitty fix by plastering fiberglass on the underside and then spraying it black. I'm having trouble finding anyone who is willing to tackle it here in my area, at least at a fair price. One guy wanted $6K to do the work. For $500-$800 I could buy a used hood and have it sprayed for another $1,500 - $2,000. For $6K I would think I could get the hood fixed and a decent repaint of the entire car.
I might just tackle it myself and have a good paint shop blend the paint in.

I got rid of the Sawblades which were a little banged up from the previous owner. I bought some ZR1 Replica Wheels 9s in the front and 11s in the back. I went with chrome instead of silver because the 11s were not available in Silver at the moment. I have next to no patience. I do need to buy some center caps.

get some pics today
