What did you do to your C4 today?

Recovered the other seat that I bought for the car. When I get them in the car I think the heat from the south Florida sun will tighten them up a little so I will bypass the hairdryer/heatgun until for now.

Corvette forum to the rescue, again....did the R&R on the pumps for the lumbar bladders. Used bicycle inner tube, worked perfect. First side took a while, passenger side took about 30 minutes start to finish.
Finally installed my new shifter ****. I'm sure the purists won't like it, but it looks cool (I should have done white) and it's way more comfortable to shift than that oddly shaped factory ****....

Quick wash then stretched her legs out on the parkway going to the boat. Also tried to get a new compressor cycle switch as mine took a vacation. Advance had one but was the wrong thread... online I go.

Went to Denver today with the ‘84, on the way there decided to stop to get a drink in Castle Rock, when I stopped the car heard a noise under the hood, opened it and saw the belt desintegrating , it was a new belt, but from experience I always carry a spare belt and the breaker bar in the car. I noticed the ac compressor switch not connected, maybe it was rubbing the belt and caused the belt to be chewed up.

Sun, on the drive into Brooklyn got a chance to try out the new shifter boot. Low and behold I can now downshift into 1st gear, which the original hardened boot prevented...
Just have new rear break rotors & ceramic pads installed and it (surprisingly) made a big difference in pedal feel and stopping power.
The shop had a problem with one of the A/C lines so awaiting part arrival to proceed with getting "cold" air for summer months to come soon.
Now I'm off to get the recovered steering wheel for my next project.

Took the c5 seats out of the car that a PO put in. And of course they cut the wires for the sport seats. So now I have to get the plugs that plug into the sport seat to operate the controls for the seats. At least they didn't screw up the power seat tracks putting the c5 seats in. Only put the bolts in the front part of the tracks. Nothing in the rear part of the seat holding it to the track.
Now that the seats are out I can adjust the parking brake and hopefully get it to work
correctly. Then the fun job of replacing the heater core.

Installed the speed bleeders i have had in my tool box for over a year, and flushed the brake fluid.
so far I'm a big fan of the "speed bleeders"! (Russell brand)
