lol.. Oh yeah. that's what led to this whole mess.. I bought a rough car that was supposed to have a rebuilt engine with a bad transmission.. So, all it needed was paint and the interior fixed.
Then, my rebuilt .030 over engine had stuck rings, blew a head gasket.. Oh my gosh.. It turned into a huge mess, but it's fine. Been a lot of fun.

Bone head move.
So I decided to do my c4 a solid by cleaning the engine bay. Disconnected plug wires to get the leaves and grime from the little nookes and cranny of the valve cover and intale manifold. I even cleaned the radiator fan! Buttoned it up and took the wifey out on our monthly date night. As soon as we hit the highway the car just didnt feel right, had to spool it up to 3600 just to get north of 85mph. I figured maybe it was a bad batch of 93 octane. Sure enough after coming home from an enjoyable night while checking the car in my garage I realized I missed plugging up the number 2 spark plug wire. So today gave it a fresh oil change of mobile 1 and filter. Figure I was bound to have some fuel in the oil. Took it out for a highway run this morning and it was pure bliss.

Yesterday Sunday September 16 with the Corvettes of Buffalo, we had 144 Corvette Caravan around Grand Island NY for a Autism Charity. You can check it out on the Corvettes of Buffalo Facebook page or the webpage. It was a great time. We had cars from other states and Canada attend.

Replaced the front rotors that had cracked with EBC USR 7007 rotors and replaced the pads with EBC Bluestuff 5000 NDX pads. So far they are AWESOME. If you hate brakes that dust heavily then these are your worse nightmare.

Took my 1989 6 speed for MOT (UK inspection) failed on a numberplate bulb and handbrake efficiency. Just waiting for new cables to arrive from the US now and I should be back on the road!

I noticed it was holding water in the cowl after rain storms lately. I pulled the screens off and cleaned all the water and debris out from inside the cowl and blew the drain holes out with compressed air.

What did they charge you for the job ?
Mine is leaving a drip every time I park it for a while, and looks like the pan or rear main.........
Not sure I'm up to doing it on my back at home, I'm waiting on left shoulder surgery and possible back surgery !
But I have a shop that I can stick it in for heated winter storage, and they will fix it when they are slow over the winter.
I used to work there before my rt shoulder surgery so I know them very well.
He is trying to work a trade for me to do the work on 2 motorcycles in exchange for him storing and working on my Vette.
But my back and shoulder limit what and for how long I can work....
And don't want to start a project and not be able to finish it in a timely manner......
You can't tell someone "the guy working on your bike had back surgery and didn't get the bike put back together 1st" ! lol

Found a replacement solenoid for the rear hatch in my '94. Works beautifully now! For those on the west coast of Florida, there's a shop in Dade City that has many hard to find parts for both C3's and C4's. "Corvette Generations". This is not a commercial for his business ,but he had the discontinued part I needed so,I thought I would share.
