Default Carbon Fiber Wrapped Targa

I had my targa wrapped with carbon fiber vinyl. I wanted to try something new and it doesn't cost that much. I also did the accent stripes on the hood. When you are ready for a change just heat and peal.

I didn't do mine because I didn't know what I was doing. After seeing it done, I would do it. The vinyl is available everywhere. Its almost like tinting a window. I only paid $150 to me it was worth it. I am sure there are a lot of wrappers in Florida.

Looking good! I like the hood accents!

Love mine, but after three years in the Florida sun, it's starting to show it's age.
I also did the door handles and the bolt covers on the rear hatch.

it's not that hard.....just use a blow dryer and a credit card to smooth out the wrinkles.....I ended up eventually painting my black on the bottom and red on the top....but the carbon fiber did work good...there's a guy down here with a total chrome wrapped car...really cool...hard to see in the sun....

Can anyone recommend a brand of wrap for a first-time DIYer to try on his "glass" targa top? I want to try black chrome color. Also, the surface of my top is no longer super smooth and shiny, just due to the "crazing" effect of sun and all. Will the vinyl still stick to it or do I need to try to wet-sand and polish it first?

it will stick...there are definitely 2 kinds of carbon fiber...interior and exterior...make sure you get the right one....if you want it real dark, you'll have to paint the underneath black to stop all the sun....

Okay, thanks. I was thinking about applying some sort of felt or thin foam on the inside anyway, so my helmet doesn't scratch when it touches.
