'92 passenger window won't work
My 92 coupe passenger window just quit working, I could use some info on how to troubleshoot. The window does not operate from the driver side switch or the passenger side switch. I would like to know if I can test to see if the motor is working without first removing the door panel? How do you remove the window switch on the passenger side to possibly access the contacts and check the leads for power? I only have the #1 volume of the service manual and the diagnostic instructions are in #2.Thanks for any help.

On my '88 I had to remove the sw from its socket and clean the blackened brass prongs to restore PW operation.
I think your PW setup differs from that in my '88; maybe someone will pop in with a schematic for your year.

Melting Slicks
Hold the button down in a very quiet place and listen for a click from the door. My motor was toast and I could hear it trying to engage.

I got the passenger switch out now, so I hope someone can give me the wiring color codes for the switch so I can check out where the problem might be. It is a `92 coupe with an LT1 if that matters. Thank you

The passenger side (my left side) just stopped and I could hear the motor running so I had to take the door panel off... the bolt had gone that holds the main part to the arms... I bought another and that fixed that.

Thank you for all replys, I tried all suggestions nothing helped to pinpoint the problem. I will just have to wait until I go to Carlisle tomorrow and get my own service manual, then I should get the info I need on the wiring diagrams. Thanks again.
