Dang how's the husband. Just kidding I hope everyone is okay. It is just a car when it really comes down to it. Be safe and cars can be repaired.

Glad your wife is ok. One question, why did you stop yelling at her when you realized she was not wearing her seatbelt? I would have increased the volume to the max.

The good news, now you have an excuse to get the wheels you always wanted for your car.

The bad news, that quarter panel is going to be a PITA.

Good news, the wife isn't hurt.
How does anyone NOT wear a seatbelt in this day in age?

Glad your wife is ok, Seat belts are a good thing. Looks like bad road worn tires wet road were contributing factors. Looking forward to the rebuild story. Now go hug your wife and tell her its only a car

The main thing is she's ok. A car, no matter how many good times it has attached to it, is never as important as a loved one. My wife has a nice track record of messing up my rides from time to time and some are ones passed down etc. Her coming home safe and sound trumps any damage that happens to the cars no matter how attached I am to them.

That's not to say I don't get upset at her at times but I try to just remember she's more important than the cars

The Corvette can be fixed and so can not wearing a seat belt.
I'm glad your wife is OK and you're going to repair the Corvette.

.......... After you get Matilda back to 100% , you should do something about the car ..... like tighten the jam nut on that tie rod end .......

That is correct. I felt bad afterwards. At first I thought she was going too fast. But then I saw the pot hole and I know It could've happened to anyone. Or even myself. Pennsylvania roads didn't hold up to last years winter. I'm sure that's not the first wreck from a pothole.

Sounds like your father was still with the car when it happened. Car comes with a guardian angel . The wreck could have been way worse. As these cars are built for performance, a standard walkabout the car before driving could be helpful, just like a motorcycle. But getting my girl to put gas in the car is hard enough lol. Thank god shes safe. Now go use those brownie points you earned.....lol

Get on my girl for the same thing never wears her seatbelt drives me up the wall.

Glad the injuries werent worse, those C4s can ride buckboard stiff and hitting a pothole just wrong coulda sent her off the road if she couldnt react quick enough. Hang in there

No excuse. She should sue you.

Wow didn't even notice how bald those tires were. Driving a vette on wet roads with bald tires is a recipe for disaster for sure.
