Those adapters will work with C6 Z06 calipers. Those cts-v calipers won't fit, you will need custom adapters made

I installed the C6 Z06 calipers (front / rear) on my car and love them!!!!!

Let me know if I can help

Only way to actually help "accurately" is post the part numbers of the rotors that you bought, and the adapter package you bought and where the adapter package came from. You might do the same for the calipers also. It also looks like the intent was all four so mention them all.

Looking at the title of your thread it looked like there was trouble before it ever opened.

The finish on the frame is quite attractive.

The post above me was done while my fingers were working and that's pretty much what I thought going in but post your info anyway!

Those look really good. I'm hoping someone has made the adaptors and I can just buy them

Thankyou very much!! I have been working on this car for 6 years off and on. I do have the part numbers

rotors front 22812086
rotors rear 22812096
front left caliper 25912477
front right caliper 25912967
r rear 22812096 caliper
lrear 228812096 caliper
the adaptor kit was just C4 to c6 zo6 kit? on ebay I think the back will fit.
I hope this helps I know I'm not the frist one to do this up grade. So if I can find the right kit I should be in

James

Do you know that your wheels are a fit with Z06 brakes?

If you don't know that your wheels are a fit with the C6 Z06 calipers I'd take a wheel/tire or wheel to a C4 with the same package installed to confirm the "fit". If it's a fit I'd consider just going with the C6 Z06 hardware. It's not inexpensive for sure but there's nothing else about the build that isn't "first class" so why stop now. I like the CTS-V hardware though but why try to be the "new adopter" and get beat-up with the adapter problems that would likely follow. I see it looks like you bought the package that does the Z06 rears also. What were your plans back there?

It's maybe not what you wanted to hear but I certainly don't see other options. Most of the custom brake shops aren't that impressed with the CTS-V when it comes to being adaptable for applications that there seem to be better performers available for. No first had knowledge but it seems to be what's published frequently.

Not 100% sure but I will be checking in the next few days....I could have got the c6 calipers I thought the CTS-v looked better and easyer to clean...not sure what I'm going to do....I guess that's why they where so cheap!!! I still have time to figure it out.

thanks James

Nice build, cannot help with your brake issues but have you tried the tri 5 forum?

http://www.trifive.com/forums/index.php

Am currently building a 57 handyman wagon using basically stock C4 brakes etc.

Luck with your project.

Yes I'm on there all the time under wagzilla you can see more of my build there. I was hoping to get more information from this site on the brakes.

The problem with the CTS-V calipers is that they are lug mount. The "ears" on the lugs are too long and as you can see you would require a much larger rotor. Those calipers mount closer to the wheel center on the CTS than they would on the C4 knuckle. I looked very hard into this same setup before deciding on my brakes. I went with Gen IV Viper calipers, which are almost identical to the Gen 1 CTS-V 4 piston brembos excpet they are radial mount instead of lug. This made making an adapter for them way easier.

Here are a couple pictures:

very nice indeed I'm going to lay this out this weekend and make up my mind. I own these so not sure if I would loose money if I resold them??? I do like your set up. I didn't think it was going to be this hard. So did you have a caliper when you looked at the setup? Pm me a phone number I would like to talk with you if you have time

I'll post some details here in case others have questions, but I will send you a PM as well.

I did a lot of searching on the internet and asked a bunch of questions of Caddy forums to get measurements. I saw a random picture of the Viper caliper online and noticed it was radial mount instead of lug so I began researching that. I have a buddy who races Vipers and asked for some calipers to do mockup and then he sold the car and sold me the calipers super cheap. I made a lot of measurements with the calipers in hand and mocked up to a C6 Z06 14" rotor (the Viper also uses 14" rotors) and eventually came up with a design for the bracket.

So I took the spendle housing off and the rotor and the caliper off and put it on the bench So I could get a better look

I have some tig welding to do and some grinding and milling I will stil have a plate on top, I don't really see a problem, I still have to come in more then a quarter inch. Please feel free to share your thoughts.

James
