Normally we work on the C5/C6, but a lady in my corvette club has inquired about replacing all the major bulbs in her 96.

Here's what I have so far: (all the major bulbs)

reverse light 1156
brake light 2057
3rd brake light 1156
tag lights 24
front/rear marker 24
front signal 2057

courtesy light 73
map light 168
cargo bulb 562


1) where is the flasher and can it be replaced with an LED flasher to prevent the bulb-out hyperflash indicator?

2) does anyone have links to how to replace all these bulbs?

The flasher is under the dashboard, remove the "knee panel"

How to replace the bulbs? Turn them to the left, and pull.

I'll give a few ideas on changing incandescent bulbs to LED’s. The back-up lights and fog lights are much brighter than stock lights. For the interior, I like the brighter light from the LED’s. I changed my entire Interior lights to LED’s. Now when I leave the hood up (changed those too) or the doors open, my battery won’t go dead as quick. The light on my windshield wiper control is 4 times brighter.

Ha ha, not really. She's a paying customer and we don't turn down a a project just because it's in unfamiliar territory. Another club member has asked me to do a LED upgrade on his 66 vert....That will be fun.

I'm afraid halo tails will not be on the list for this project, we're simply upgrading to our Cree LED bulbs and making sure i have the correct bulb bases in stock.
