Wanna Own the First C4 Corvette Released to the Public?
Next month in Monterey, Mecum is auctioning off the very first C4 Corvette that was ever made available to the public.

I would like to have vin#002 which was the actual first 84 to come off of the line.
The first C5 delivered kinda flopped in value. I don't see this one getting near the $75,000 to $100,000 estimate. Great car with some history though.

75K estimate, hammer at $15K ouch, but probably a good investment for the new owner.

- no flames, but let's face it, it's just another 84. I can see a low mileage, mint 84 at $15K, but 75 - come on now! now, if it was one of a kind, with unique, factory styling cues, it might be worth a higher price, but just to say it was the first sold to the public, IMO doesn't add any significant value. there's nothing unique about it. a good investment - ??? - at 15K, maybe, but I wouldn't bet on retiring a millionaire on that thing. first sold, holds about as much value as being celebrity owned.
