Carpet Install Hours

First time novice take your time and leave days not hours

time is directly proportional to how **** you are, so I'm probably the slowest guy on the forum. I'd tell you how long it took me to do carpet in my 85, but you guys would laugh - I do agree with antfarmer though - days!

Working on your Corvette should not be measured in time but in enjoyment and stress relief...

Melting Slicks
I worked on replacing the carpet on my 88 for around 8 hours every weekend for 4 months. Along the way you find things that are broke and waiting on parts will hold you up. I did sound deadening along with carpet. I had to buy a special staple gun to attach the carpet to the door panels. The job is not hard but tedious. See photos.
sound and heat barrier, the cheap stuff
door sill carpet. This part was fun
Last carpet piece I installed
Cargo and passenger side carpet in.

I can pretty much guarantee that warranty time is less than 2 hours, start to finish... Which means that if you have the proper tools, and experience, and hustle you can do it in 4.

time spent driving 06 rag top is the relaxing; world of wheels with my 76 is relaxing; and YES, thank you, working on my carpet will also be relaxing. Great perspective. Thank you
