option sticker help
I am going to look at a 1990 and 1992 convertible later today.
What should I look for and where would I find the option sticker?
Thanks,
Stephen

IIRC, the Service Parts Identification sticker (RPO Sticker) on my old '92 roadster was on the underside of the rear passenger side storage compartment. The sticker moved around during the C4 generation. Under the console lid was the most common.
The sticker will have 3-digit codes for the components that were installed on the car when it was built. The codes identify both standard and optional items. The codes will be in alpha sequence. At the very bottom, the paint codes are listed.
A list of the RPO codes can be found here

I bought my Corvette in 1983 and at that time and until the time I sold the car in 2007, I never had to look for the sticker, I just got the car back and I can not find the sticker anywhere, I do not see any sticker residue under the console lid or the storage compartment, both pieces look like the originals, so I am stumped as to what is going on

Thanks everyone.
The 1992 was high optioned (option sicker under the console list) but a lot of issues,so I passed.
The 1990 was low on options (list under the console lid) but a genuine car that was all original, and drove great, so I bought it!!
Thanks for all the input.

The car has the tag, here it is, by the way my car was silver originally and my wife hit a guard rail in Germany driving(actually showing off) in 1987 and I had it painted this candy apple look alike paint. I have a factory shop manual and it says the sticker should be on the right compartment lid, there I have the jacking instructions.

RPO codes. Inner Console lid.. My true assembly plant sheet was wedged between my gas tank strap. In very good condition. This is just a Scan & screen shot of the upper section.

I'm the original owner of my May '83 delivered '84 and mine does not have an option sticker but rather the riveted trim tag as has been posted. When I had the car judged at an NCRS Regional event a few years ago the judges were adamant that there should have been the stickers. After some deliberation it was determined there was only the trim tag on at least early '84's and a photo was then taken of mine and is now shown in the updated judging manual. My VIN ends in #4935, so among the early builds.
