Default can't find front runflats for 1996 255/45-17

hi.

1996 corvette coupe.

need to replace 20+ year old front runflats. (yeah, I know....)

problem is, I cannot find anyone who makes the original size 255/45/17 in a runflat tire.

I do not want to go with a non-runflat tire.

anyone have a similar situation and come up with a solution?

thanks

Yes, really. You can run any tire when it's flat

thanks, but I had found those links when I searched before posting.

tirerack only has 1 tire and it is a clearance. I don't want old tires.

and discount tire shows it as a special order, but I do not think that tire is made anymore and maybe the website has not been updated.

I was thinking of going with the c5 sized runflat tire of 245/45-17 which is only slighter less wide. 245 c5 vs 255 c4.

anyone else?

anyone go with a different size like I was thinking of doing?

that is what was on the car, and I like the idea of the runflats - having had flats at the worst time and the worst places with other vehicles.

yes, you can drive a car with a flat tire, but that does not mean I would want to - and take a chance of messing up the wheel or underside as the car sits so low already.

Instead, if I have a flat with a runflat tire, I simply keep driving (with near full control). a no-brainer for me, having had flats at the worst time and the worst places.

recommended - for the peace of mind they provide.
