I went with a 330mm Sparco ring. I wondered if it would be too small, but so far I love the way it looks. Once I take a drive I'll post some feedback. After looking on the forum I used a post (aftermarket steering wheel and quick release install ('96) by MarkBychowski (OP). It was very helpful and straight forward. I have a 93 and was able to use the same instructions. I actually just replaced mine 2 days ago, but ordered the wrong resistor to delete the airbag. I ordered a 2K watt instead of a 2 W (DUH). I wouldn't go any smaller than a 330MM. For me the aftermarket wheel makes it easier to get in and out of the car. I also have more leg room as I like to sit closer to the steering wheel. In my case I wasn't worried about the airbag because I have a five point harness.

**I've not put my hands on mine and I've seen 1/2 Watt mentioned also. I'll try to put hands on.
It does need to be 2Ω NOT 2.1 or 1.9 I belive I've got 1%.

Thanks! Life gets in the way, but I'll always find time for the corvette. I do check the site daily, its an addiction, LOL! I meant 2 ohm, good catch! I ordered a 2 ohm, 5 watt, 5% tolerance to replace the 2K. Appreciate the offer.... I figured out I had the wrong resistor when the air bag light wouldn't go out. Then I checked the airbag continuity with a multimeter and got .2 on a 200 ohm scale. From a distance of course..

Hey Jeff, I just installed a Momo Trek R, 350mm. Much smaller than stock and I love it, except now my SIR light is on. They come in aluminum with a chrome ring but I wrapped mine in 3M flat black.

Just following up to my response above. If anyone wants to prevent their air bag light from coming on, a resistor (2 ohm 5W resistor wire wound 5% tolerance ) from www.parts-express.com will work.

thanks for the responses so far..
I have narrowed it down to 2 wheels:
Momo Race (350mm)
Momo Trek R ( 350mm)
just not quite sure which one...

Jeff, I'll snap some pics when I get home of my Sparco Strada 350mm. I used to have the Sparco Ring 330mm (identical to army snipe). I will echo what Army Sniple said, use a 2 ohm 5w resistor to keep the SRS happy. Can be purchased from Amazon for just a few dollars.
Here are some pics from my initial install:
I got tired of how far the quick release moved the steering wheel from the signal stalk. Not an issue if you are racing, sort of an issue if you drive the car on the street. I am using a 1" adapter from Crowders Racing with a 350mm Sparco Strada and am very happy with it. Nice factory appearance as well.

Draves,
So How did you get the Vinyl to stick on the center of the steering wheel? I tried the DINOC I have.. it will not stick.. is there some type of prep you needed to do?

The vinyl I bought (Amazon) is 3M Matte Black M12 1080 Series and it's sticky, it adhered no problem. And Jeff, have you seen any Momo C4 horn buttons? Do you plan on sticking with the Momo button?
