Default 95 fuel leak

It seems that the retainer clip that secures the line at the back of the fuel regulator is missing and I have this fuel leak. GM originally sold the clip as part of a kit (GM part no. 17113089). The kit contains 5 pieces, 2 bolts, 2 brackets and this clip. The kit is discontinued and i can't find anyone who sells an aftermarket clip. I've owned my corvette x 20 yrs. It is a safety concern. What do I do? Please please need help.

OP - yes that's the package needed for the fuel line retainer. The retainer is the same for all later LT1's and as a matter of fact the 4.3 L99 (Caprice/Cadillac/Buick) used the same arrangement. There should be many to choose from in the local salvage/junk yards. You certainly won't need a 'vette yard. All of the later F-body used the retainer but a little different fuel line configuration.

Knowing what's needed you'll have no issue and "fabrication" I'd think not difficult either.

Here's a parts FYI ... Standard Motor Products www.SMPcorp.com or at www.standardBrand.com manufacturers parts and distributes under many retailers across the country i.e.: Bumper to Bumper, Auto Plus etc ... they make the retainer clip that I was looking for. This is another great resource.

Better question though is what happened to my original clip? I understand that it would need to be pryed off with a screwdriver. Nobody that I've talked with so far has heard of one breaking off ...
