What I have done icm coil plugs wire distributor cap rotor...had a Alternator wire melt to the motor fixed that and bought a new alternator way running perfect for 2 days it did back fire 2 times both when I stomp the gas 3rd day on the way home it was idling high about 1200 rpm and I made it home Sat for a second was still high shut it off came to start again and Nuttin I pulled the injectors fuse to not flood and it started ran like carp but ran if I put the fuse in after it's running it will continue to run but smokes like crazy and runs horrible I'm at a loss no scanner lcd screen is out so no check engine light can be seen any help would be amazing I appreciate it

Pull the vacuum line off the FPR and check for fuel if there new FPR and smell for fuel in the oil. Change if there.

Sounds like you may have crossed a plug wire.

This wont work if it's a cfi as noted in the title..

Sounds like mine when the front coolant sensor failed. ECU thinks it's cold and starts flooding the engine.

Where exactly is the sensor located

I found the ect and it absent been hooked up the hole time I noticed the wires when I bought it but ran fine with out it this hole time I'm sure it dident just start now right I tried to run codes and nothing cheap scanner from a parts store I can do the fpr rebuild today but hate to throw money away

Ok it's alive fuel pressure regulator and timing was way off loose distributor so 60 bucks well spent thank you all for the advise......my car is running with out the front ect seems just fine I will replace my it asap any tips on this seems to be a few choices
