Help finding my Grandfathers Vette
I have been searching for awhile with no luck. When I was a little kid I remember my granddads white on white corvette convertible. It has to either be a 92 or 93 or maybe an 88. the problem I have is that we don't have the VIN number. I have called all the dealerships in that area and the DMV and they cant help me much. Is here another way? is there a way to search cars that were shipped to certain dealers. Since there was only a few triple whites I assume that would make it easier to narrow down the search. Could the museum help with that kind of search?
I bought a 14 stingray because I have loved corvettes ever since he had that one. I would love to find it and see if its still running and try to buy it.

A car like that could be anywhere. For example my 90 made it's way over the years from Nevada to Pennsylvania. Without the VIN it would be next to impossible trace. Like searching for a needle in a hay stack. I assume you search Google for triple white C4.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Try talking to his insurance agent at the time might still have the vin in their files.

If you have VIN but it doesn't show up in a service like carfax, then I believe that means it's no longer registered (at least in America)...which probably means it's been sent to a junk yard or sitting in someones barn collecting dust. Just because they are Corvette's doesn't mean they are around forever...obviously better chance then most passenger cars, but, even so, the majority of old vettes just weren't kept up and most likely ended up in the crusher .

I advised another forum member before with this tip, maybe the local Corvette club or clubs will know something about that Vette, maybe they know of the whereabouts of it.

Safety Car
See if any family members have an old picture that has a license plate visible, DMV may help with that info. Noted were the insurance agent and Corvette Clubs. Maybe check with his old mechanic, they may have some basic info on the car like vin. If your Granddad had any close friends, he may have related some info to them.
Best of luck

It is tough.
I looked for years for a 68 kr500 shelby my uncle owned as a kid and lived in poverty as an elder, so nobody believed him. I tried forums etc.. I got lucky one of the people that restored it had a story on it and it mentioned his named and the story of how he bought it in Milwaukee wi at the special car dealer int eh winter and ordered some extra parts too.
This guy was never on the internet and was uneducated for the most part etc... Here some how he ends up in a story in the deep internet.
I found his car which he always wanted to see again and the story and made a book for him to show people few years before he passed away.
That is a special car this one will be hard.
