I need to get better pics of the cut off. The pic of the cutoff on the garage is really close and doesn't do it justice. These lights great so far. I did the circut doctor mod to retain the function of the factory fog lights. I paid $280 for the pair. The price is starting to fall for the LED plug and play setups.

- Much Brighter than my Hella E-Codes with Philips Xtreme Power bulbs
- Sharp Cut Off
- I would say it has a 5000k color
- Still need to adjust but plenty enough width
- DOT approved
- Looks cool as $h!t.

I thought the item should be a 7X5 to replace a H6054

Wow! What a cool headlight option, I love the way they look. Could you explain the 'circuit doctor' mod that you said is needed to keep the factory fog lights?

This is the Circuit Doctor method to fixing the foglight issue. The problem with the later C4 is that the fog light circuit is grounded through the high beam filament. LED's have no filament as they are nothing more than a "light emitting diode." The circuit doctor method places a small 163 bulb to add a grounding filament.
There are other ways to do this, but to me at this point it was the easiest.

I noticed that pre 90' cars are wired differently... wonder what is required to make these work on my 88'?

You won't have a problem getting them to work. Just plug and play. Not sure about getting the fog lights to work on a pre 90'. If you never use your fog lights not a big deal. I never use mine either but I like to have everything function the way it was originally intended.

It was the fog light issue I was referring to. I'll do some research on it. Thank for sharing about the headlights they look awesome!

Why burn the fog lights for nothing? They don't give me any more range than the low beams even. Not that much light more. In fog, I turn them on and shut down main lights

I don't want to get too off topic for this thread but, if I understand the thread by circuit doctor the 1990-1996 cars had an issue where turning the fog lights on also turned the high beams on which is not ideal for fog...
No mention was made in that thread of 84-89' cars.

My '86 has the fog lights connected directly to ground so there is no issue with HID or LED headlights. I think that changed in 1990 with the redesign of the car.

Looks good but after reading the reviews some came DOA or had moisture problems. Sure Amazon will make them right if returned right away. Looking forward to see how they hold up.

Yes that is what other people seemed to say on the other thread. My car is an 88' with the earlier wiring so I would work differently for me anyway.
