I just read through the entire other thread, I willl give it a try. I didn't mention, but I installed all larger gauge wire and relays when I did my upgrade, but I guess it should still work.

By driving lights do you mean the headlamps on some other light hooked on to a brush guard, for example on a truck? Another question is this. BEFORE you did the swap, what was your status? Again, mine disables the fog lights when you put on the high beams from the low beams. On low beams, the fog light activation will NOT turn on the high beams so maybe something altered that circuit in the Euro H4 chage?

OK. Finally got all the pieces. I got the Genssi lights as recommended. Also, instead of the Circuit doctor mod, I went with the resistors. Lets see how it all installs when I got the time.

Anyone know if you need 2 resistors or just one? I bought it as a pair some have said the Circuit Doctor fix requires 1.

For what its worth, mine are still working great no issues! Love the instant on/off and the sharp cut off line. Throws the light way out ahead of you.

Aklim- I did not use any resistors on mine, just the circuit doctor mod. Let me know if you do just the resistors without the circuit doctor mod and everything functions properly. Maybe I will go that route. My headlights work perfect with my stock halogen fogs. But my LED fogs were doing some weird things (Maybe a polarity issue?) so I had to reinstall the halogen bulbs to get everything to work as it did from the factory.

I think the resistance is low enough that 1 should work for you. Worst case you add the second one later.

Final report:

1 resistor didn't do it for me. It needed 2 but that isn't so bad since it comes as a pair and there is plenty of room to install and zip tie so you can remove easily. Without the resistors, it will do as Circuit Doctor mentioned and the fog lights will have issues.

the light thrown out by these (with only 32 watts) looks very impressive.

5000k is right what i would pick for color.

do you like the 'spider eye' look of the housing?

i do worry about the housings being watertight and holding up, say 2 years from now.

To be honest, I'm not sure if we have the same sense of aesthetics. From my perspective, it does the first job which is to light up better than stock and the failing CorvetteHIDs. Also I am slowly adjusting to the look simply because it takes a while of looking at it with the lights off but it seems to be growing on me a little bit since I put it on

I would think you can put a thin coat of silicone around the seal points. It looks decently sealed and it doesn't get rubbed a lot. It sits in place and is held by the metal ring tightly so it's not like a round light that sits on your brush guard that gets stones and sand hitting the seal points.

I only am using one resistor and it seems to work to restore foglights to working order.

I just went outside to my car and it was making a clicking noise for no reason. I turn the key and its like the car doesn't have the proper power it should. Possibly an issue with running only one resistor.

Disconnect both headlights and see what happens. I don't know how the resistors or the lights affect the engine unless you have drained a lot of battery power and it doesn't turn over properly.
