Decisions, decisions...
Which of the following would you prefer and why.
All other things being relatively equal (cosmetic/mechanical condition), service history, etc....
1. 1995 black convertible, auto, black top, grey interior, 83k miles.
2. 1993 green convertible, auto, tan top, tan interior, 108k miles.
I know it is my decision but I'm hoping for some ideas, insights, arguments that I haven't thought of.
Thanks

Whichever is in the best condition and floats your boat.

Probably mostly about what you like. I would choose the 95 because I like black better than green, but its about what you like...

Black is the best looking. And looks like you already have a green one.

In my opinion and experience. After 6 black vehicles, no one could pay me enough money to own another.
Also, the only difference in the OPTI's is one is vented and one is not. The 93 can be converted very easily to a vented design nullifying the OPTI is better comment.
IMHO, the mileage between the two is negligible as they are both too high to be of consideration for "collector" status and too low to matter for wear and tear.
I personally like the green but would rather have the black top and interior.

Le Mans Master
I would go for the '95
Vented Opti
Sequential fuel injection
Flashable computer
R134a AC refrigerant
J55 brakes standard
I like the side louvers better
I like the white lettering on the dash better than yellow
I would prefer the '93's glove box to the '95's passenger side air bag.
I also prefer the black/gray over the green/tan,but each to their own.

All things being equal including the price, I would go with the '95 also.

Buy the BEST C4 you can afford. Then don't look back
I would go with the 95, however ask for the maintenance records etc. You usually can tell real quick which car was maintained and taken care of.

I like Polo Green and would choose it over black (but that's me). In this case, you have all of the improvements that have been mentioned, and, additional "rattle chasing" that was done by the factory with black "felt" throughout the car in the '95 model that is not present in the '93. I think the standard J55 brakes on the '95 are a big plus. Best of luck and as others have said, buy what's going to put smile on your face.
