Default Retired Marine Drives a C4 Corvette Rat Rod Filled With Faygo

After seeing the Ratvette on an episode of 'Roadkill,' this vet decided to build one for himself, because "it just makes sense."

I FREAKING LOVE THAT!!!!!! With a little work it could be a really low buck Ariel Atom. Besides that would just be fun to cruise around in if you started with a trashed car.

It's not cool, or even worth mentioning.

Totally dumb. Just too cheap or poor to buy a machine set up to deliver a kart experience.

I'm not a vette guy, and roadkill did it as a joke, but if anyone looks at that and sees the appeal they are not a car guy.

Kind of like seeing a car in the 70's at a body shop and going " cool lets just drive it with out the the body" Dumb, cheap, and trashy plain and simple.

If the owner is a member here, sorry guy. I call it like I see it. A hack doing hack things.

And people wonder why the political powers to be pass laws against the automotive industry. This sure does reinforce the case of some states having vehicle inspection laws. Give them enough ammo and we will all be pedaling bicycles. Just my .02

I like it and like the fact he doesn't care what anyone else thinks. Who cares if it doesn't fit the definition of what anybody else deems acceptable. Its cool in my mind.

I'm surprised that there not more kit cars based on a stripped C4 it could breathe some life into all of the clapped out cars out there.

I'm not sure you are being fair. These type of projects go to the core roots of Hot Rodding. Make my car lighter, faster, and handle better. All of which are accomplished by a Vette-Cart project. Just because it is not to your taste does not mean the guy is Dumb, cheap, or trashy. Not everyone can afford to drive a shiny 80K C7. Just because it's not as nice as your car (in your opinion) or your style does not mean that it's stupid or that the owner does not get every bit as much enjoyment out of their project as you do out of yours. And, enjoying your car hobby is what Hot Rods are all about.

As long as he is enjoying himself and nobody is getting hurt... not anyone's business but his own. Not my thing but obviously he likes it. Cool for him.

I just wonder if he drives it in the rain... if so, does he wear a slicker?
