So many good deals right now!
Browsing craigslist today and realized how many vettes have gone up in the past week or two that people are trying to get rid of before winter! I know the prices of these cars in my area very well, and the ones linked are what seem like some great deals in my area. It's no suprise they're trying to get rid of them, but WOW. Again, these are what seem to be good prices in MY area, i'm sure down south, or other places have even better deals
There's a lot of good deals on early C4's compared to what I paid for mine plus what I have into it (So much regret regret for being impatient!)

^is this an actual turquoise metallic car? don't know much about the color, but it looks amazing whatever color it is!
http://southcoast.craigslist.org/cto/5782998480.html
^if there's no body damage (lack of pictures) that car looks GREAT for the money.
http://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/cto/5771068838.html
^may be a good deal?

^good price compared to other vettes in my area, beautiful color

^ what in the world are these seats out of? besides that looks like a nice car

I don't think anyone can argue that deals on the East Coast are much better than the west.. and specifically socal! I'm talking about good C4s not one's in need of $5k just to run well n look decent

The prices by me are crazy, but then again "generally" I could assume they are anywhere, as most people want more then these are worth. Some of the vette's down south are extremely good deals! Almost justify's buying the ticket to to get them and all the other costs.

you missed this one
I watch 'Vettes around here daily. I figure there must be something about this highly modified one that turns people off, it's been up for sale for at least a month now. This is an insane price when you consider the mods. I know when it comes to resale, mods are worth nothing, but this car is certainly worth more than 6k if all he says about it is true. But I figure it must be too good to be true (Shoddy work, crap interior, lousy condition?) for it to still be for sale.

DANG, this:
is right up my alley!!!
i've been looking at stuff, Chicago area, and in IA, prices are all over the place. a lot of things seem to be getting lower, but some seem high too. sort of a mix. not sure if i could say there is a trend....but it is getting close to winter. seems like a lot of things haven't sold, from my following things since summer!

Not to mention this car looks like it's been pulled a part a few times and thrown back together, is that gap on the left side of the steering wheel supposed to be there? (not sure what those options are as I have an 84, where the headlight switch is) I would assume things similar to that. Looks like the car has missing center caps, the fender imo look horrible (that's just me) and the fitment on the hood looks off to me, just looks to tight in some gaps and to loose in others. If it was as good as a deal as it seemed it would of been sold long ago, could still be a good deal I could be wrong! Looks like the paints chipped in a few spots aswell.
Although my situation is different compared to a lot of the cars out there (mine being in very bad shape) I would NEVER buy a car modded whatsoever, besides obviously the small stuff like an exhaust tinted windows and all that small stuff, I don't trust people's work as most people are half *** mechanics, you could buy a clean C4 at that price (6,000 dollars) with similar or less mileage, and it'd have less done to it (yes less performance) But atleast you know the car hasn't been messed with. Not trying to rant this car just seemed to be a good example of one i'd stay away from because of my previous experiances. The wiring looks half assed, zip ties (nothing wrong with it, but when you do that much to an engine you think you'd want it to look good) also in the second picture what looks to be atleast 6 red/black wires by the radiator on the left side, what are those even going too? Has a brake conversion apparently, you think they'd clean up the wheel wells and make them look shiney while they're already in there. I just don't see where "20k" could have gone into this car.

Those are some decent deals for cars in my area, usually they're priced much higher (there's literally 100-200 vettes in my area that have been for sale for months, because they're asking WAY to much) these just seem to be some owners who know what they have and want to get rid of them at a fair price.

That 86!
If it's not trashed and water damaged, $2800 cash offer I bet would take it. How far are you from it Brandon?

Seems to always be the best time of year to buy vette's since the prices go down before people have to store them for the winter again. I kinda wish I had waited but I'm still very happy with what I got

clean 90 vert

LT4 96 Vert

This is the one I bought for 9500

Sorry it's a C5, 6 speed, 90K miles. CAI and it came with original C5 wagon wheels with brand new Potenza tires in addition to the wheels and tires shown. I didn't want a vert and couldn't find a reasonably priced clean C4 in the area. This is actually cheaper than most C4's in the same shape.

New guy here, although I've been lurking a bit.
Found this '91 on Craigslist in Greenville, SC last weekend. 103k, 6-speed. Owner said it was running poorly, hard to start, etc.
Long story short I picked it up for $4000, drove it 100 miles back to north Georgia. Ran like crap but it turned out to be a bad fuel pressure regulator and a couple of fouled plugs. Got those fixed and it runs much, much better.
Best part is it's one of 733 Z07 cars built in '91. Needs a few other things but I'm pretty happy with it.
