Wait, What? New York Man Trades in Corvette for a Pickup?
Of course, this isn't exactly your run-of-the-mill pickup.

well, in 1968, my brother-in-law traded in his 67 427/435 (aluminum head - L89, one of 16) 4-speed, convertible, goodwood green, saddle, white top and stinger, in on a 1965 Mercedes 190D - . that MB-D turned out to be the biggest POS on the planet! now, THAT has to be the dumbest trade in automotive history! BTW, the 67 just happened to be the first corvette I ever drove!

I wouldn't say I'm a diehard Corvette fan, but I don't think I'd trade in a Corvette for a pickup, even an antique. But that's just me. I will say, however, I do own a 2015 GMC Canyon, and I trade back and forth between driving the Vette and driving the truck. I do really like driving my truck.

from a financial stand point trading a '87 C4 vette for that pickup was a smart move. Another thing to consider is there are a lot more '87 vettes to purchase than a pick up of that vintage so if you want both trade for the pick up and get another '87 later.

If I found a nice early 60's C10 that was fully restored or retro'd with a SBC 350 and disc brakes, I would probably really consider trading my 96 for it.

I traded a '52 Ford Customline with 34,000 miles on it for my '94 Vette almost 2 months ago - at a dealership believe all- AND - I got that Ford 2 years ago by trading a '78 Vette to an individual on Craigslist - - LOL.
