Congrats on your C4.

White C4s look great with black wheels.

C5Z brakes kit is a good mod to start.

Previous history of water pump and Opti-Spark ignition system replacement
Wet carpeting under the floormats and or rusty seat tracks
Dexcool Coolant still red color unless previous owner changed to green type
Oil leaks under the engine
If it ain't broke, don't fix it?

OP, congrats!! I think you'll like the way the C4 drives, especially with some suspension mods. Love the F-Type

Can you send a link for those wheels you are looking at? I probably wont be able to do much more than drool and window shop but those wheels in chrome are on my wishlist for sure....

took the car for a quick spin to the gas station. As much as i love the F type for many reasons I love the V8 grunt of the LT1!! And the driving position let me tell you they dont make cars like this anymore! The driving dynamics id say is analog, raw...unrefined yes but it feels exciting to say the least.

Some pics from tonight

Very nice! So happy for you! The C4 is a fantastic driver's car and I enjoy mine immensely. It may not be your DD but drive it often and enjoy the experience, these cars do not like to sit around too long. And while I prefer a 6-speed car, I wish I were able to use the cupholders for real drinks - that's one thing the automatics have over our MT cars.

One other thing I did not see mentioned here, the tires may have good tread but check their age. Hard cracked rubber = !no es bueno!

Thank you! Tires are shot look to be 10 yrs old accoridng to the date stamp and the brakes pulse quite noticably braking at fey speeds

new wheels/ tires and a good alignment are first on the list
The discs appear to be in good shape from the looks of it and may just need to be cut and fresh pads thrown at it.

You are correct of course, I'm simply suggesting it would be nice to know if either of these items has been serviced in the past. When I bought my 96 the previous owner said he had the Opti replaced at the same time when it needed a water pump. Peace of mind for him at the time and then later for me too. C4's are great Corvettes!

Found the original books and MSRP!!!

First Owners name was also Michael, how cool is this!! Their address and everything was logged in he warranty book too! I should shoot them a message and update them on the car

As much as there are bad points of the interior its actually quite exotic by todays standards, i like itnoverall! More intimate than both C5 and C6
