OK First I want to say Hi to anyone that reads this since I am new here,

Second I want to say no Flaming or Ragging Please since I do not own a Vette....with that said I have a few questions..... that I am hoping I can get some help with .... We have a 90 Jeep Wrangler YJ that my business partner and I are looking to drop under the hood a Vette engine and a 5 or 6 speed tranny........ for one bad butt Stump pulling Mother of a Jeep ...We tossed the idea of a ford motor.... nope and then an AMC motor like my CJ8 has ...Nope.... we want a Vette Fuel injected Engine..... and a Tranny the problem not being Vette ppl we are not sure what years would be best, or what years...would have the right amount of computer stuff that we would have to water proof and fine a place for.....
Engine: what year, and Model fuel, Injection
Tranny: what year and number~~5 or 6 speed

Also what would you think would be the cost for a useed engine and a tranny that runs but could use some ...ummm loving

You can probably find a '89-'91 L98 motor with a six speed at a junkyard for a fair price. They have gobs of low end torque.

Also Contemporary Corvette 1-800-367-8388 sells quite a few engine/tranny combos on ebay, they ship anywhere in the US.
His user name on ebay is fparts, they are located in Bristol,PA.
