Is your engine running cooler?

Mine was running so much cooler with the 160°F that I had to stop, and buy the 180°F thermostat.

My car runs about the same. With the car up to temp my car runs about 196F on the highway.

Well guys, the WPS opti I got for 100 bucks just croaked after roughly 4k miles. lost low and high res pulse. Just replaced the unit with a petris enterprise unit. The conversion is still running very well!

Connor, could you open your LTCC box, and see how it looks inside? Curious because we have been running the system for exactly the same time. Maybe post a pic or two? I'm having a no spark, but do get injector pulse. I believe my LTCC box is dead.

Yeah, Ill post a pic when I get a chance tonight. If I understand the LTCC system correctly I don't think the injectors would pulse if the box was dead because the computer receives the signal to pulse the injectors from the LTCC system which intercepts the opti signal before it gets to the computer. I could have that wrong though.

It has me stumped to say the least. It's like the car fires up whenever it wants to.

Here is how my box looks on the inside. And I put 3 microfiber towels on top of the brain box every wash.

Thanks a lot man, no rush! Sounds true on what you say about the injector pulse. But I am not sure either.

Water intrusion shouldn’t be a big issue if the integrity of the seals are fine.

To be clear, I'm not sure the box is dead. But so far, I have 3,500 miles on the system.

This got my ATTENTION. I will check my box, I remember seeing a rubber seal there, but now I'm not totally confident.

Thanks Pete. There is a rubber seal. And my seal still looks brand new.

Brandon,

Were you able to get a hold of Bob Bailey? All your grounds check out good? I find it hard to believe the brain box would crap out in that location. I never put anything over my LTCC box when I wash, the seal around the lid and the o-rings around the screws are more than sufficient. You trace all the wiring make sure everything looks good?

Also, did you build your own spark plug wires or order them I can't remember?

In both pics, looks like the screws have some kind of corrosion/gunk on them. Betting those are were the ground tabs on the board are. Also in the first pic, when zoomed in, I see some gunk that might be bridging the bits on the right of the board, that row of resistors and the large chip above them. I'm betting you've got funky grounding going on in there. If the board can be removed, pull it, and clean it with contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol. Make sure it's 100% dry afterwards, before testing it out. Clean the corrosion out of that box too. Looks like salt water got in there. Even if that's not the cause of your issues, I wouldn't let that go.
