I Bought My Dream Car

I used to have a '70 Chevelle SS with the LS6 454 as a show car. It was crazy to have one that after you drive it a little bit you need to spend a couple weeks detailing everything. I got sick of that. I want cars I can drive.
However, I have gone to a few shows with my Corvettes. I would be glad to win something, but don't expect to. I have entered simply to have a great parking spot and with friends. It makes it easy to meet and talk to a lot of other "gearheads" like me and find out what works or not with our cars.
You might consider a few shows or driving events.
I notice you have the base stereo too. That can make it easier to upgrade to an aftermarket.
There are getting to be fewer and fewer C4's out there any more. I think it is up to us (all the C4 forum members) to keep driving and showing them off.
Have fun.

I finally joined a club. There are a mix of people types. Yes there are a lot of older people that use the club for social items like wine tasting and movies, but there are some that actually like the cars and are quite knowledgeable on our Corvettes and mods to them. We also have quite a few that like racing them. We even run an Autocross event a couple times a year. Just get with the ones of similar interests and activities.

It is odd that it shows base seat leather (AR9) and then cloth interior (19C).

I hear ya, i'm in NJ and I am itching to drive my vette. Congrats on your vette and I am sure you will love it! Let the mods begin. When I bought my vette I said I am definitely leaving it stock. Now it has over 700hp and I am not done yet lol

Thanks! No big plans for the car, leaving it stock for quite a while, can't really afford anything on the car, going to perfect it with what I have to work with, new tires, insurance, taxes and plates alone is 1700+ dollars

Wishing you drier, warmer weather like we're blessed with out here so you can get some wheel time!

Life ain't cheap, and Vettes don't help. Haha. Enjoy it. The gearing and power difference should be a nice lil jolt for you when you drive it spirited after getting used to the '84.

Just think how long (and how much $$$) it would
have taken to bring the first one up to this one's
condition. But then, I bet you learned a lot from
working on the first one.

I have to wonder if you snagged a car with a short-throw shifter?
Looks like it to me. Priceless!

I believe the shifter is completely stock as far as I can tell (did some come factory with a shorter shifter?) and the previous owner told me everything done to the car.....but who knows. The more I think about it the shifter (automatic) on my 84 was much higher then the one on my 89. I drove the car today and actually pushed the car a bit, this car is absolutely outstanding. I was speechless after driving the car today

Congratulations on the car. I really like the no option cars. And looked very hard to find cloth seats for my 89-6 speed. I have had my car for 20+ years, and still really enjoy it.
