Default bose speakers

On a 1984 Corvette both speakers on the driver side stop working at the same time. Do these speakers work independent ? Or is the radio the problem? If anyone can help I would surely appreciate your input

I believe it is the radio. I had the same issue on my '88 but on the right side. I jumped the wires to make sure the speakers were still good and they worked when I connected them to the left side output. Your only option would be to pull the radio and send it off to be repaired. I believe Dr. Don is the recommended guy but there are some others out there too. Just google Bose Corvette radio repair.
