Truck ran over front of my 94

The same thing happened to me, there was another guy on FB recently too. It must be tough to see these cars from high up?
A tow truck pulled up and parked next to me while I was waiting in the lobby of a shop. About ten minutes later, the truck moved forward and turned. The car was clipped underneath the truck on the same corner as yours.
The insurance covered it, but it wasn't easy. The shop had a heck of a time getting parts, then they didn't fit right, fabrication etc. There were no yards in the area with a good hood or a good front bumper. After three months of work, the insurance company payed out $5500 to fix it. The shop did a good job, but the owner gave me an earfull about what he went through to fix it.

Is it fixable - looks that way. Is it totaled, could be. I suspect if the damage exceeds 75% of the value of the car they'll total it.
If you're handy, you likely could buy it back from the ins co and repair it. Remember though you'd have a salvage title and some companies won't insure salvaged vehicles.

Between the hood, labor for headlights, paint, front crash structure, front bumper, repair/straightening of the front frame (where the bumper bolts on), and other incidentals mashed by the truck, I think it's VERY likely the car will be a total loss. And, yes, many insurance companies won't even insure a salvage vehicle (IF you could even get it back).
The ONLY way I could think for you to get around this is IF a visual estimate comes in under the threshold for a total AND if you can to the repairs YOURSELF within reasonable ballpark of the visual. I doubt that will even be possible unless the book value is higher than I'd guess.
If you could track down a color-matched hood/bumper (to avoid paint time), you might even be able to get a smaller shop to work with the estimate.
Mostly, I'd start preparing to say goodbye to the car. The good news is there are a lot of C4's still in the 100k mile range!

Had similar damage on my '95 vert. Repair est was $4K+. USAA totaled it offered $11K and take my car. I said "hell no". They said ok, we'll give you $9K and you keep the car. I had it fixed (looks better than before) for a little over $4K, ( to include hood replacement) bought Christmas presents with the rest. I think there was some hanky-panky going on with their contract estimator but I came out ahead on the deal.
Rebuilt title and USAA re-insured the car.

Whoa that sucks, sorry to hear it and even sorrier to see it.
I'm betting they will total the car... but I hope not!
Reminds me of my first Corvette, a 1995 Polo coupe, totaled on the highway by another driver. Not my fault. But it was definitely totaled, every body panel had either mild or severe damage and the frame was bent (driver's door would not open). Funny though, insurance paid me $13,000 for the car which wasn't even worth $9,000 at the time.

If they offer me 10k they can have it, I can buy a lower mileage cleaner c4 for that

no it was just a gouge on top and his tire caved in the headlight when he got that far on it. All the mounts were ok, it was just a swap the plastic parts for the hood and clip and headlight parts to flip it

Insurance company is mailing me check for $4200, if I could find a polo green hood and front bumper cover I would be in good shape, no frame damage

Or...find a set that needs to be refinished. I'd accept any DARK color...like black, dk grey, dk blue, etc... I'd avoid yellow/red/silver if possible. White MIGHT be OK...considering LOTS of hoods "chip" with white underneath.
If you can find both for say...$500ish, you can have most of the car reshot for the remaining $3700.
Having new paint will help you forget what happened.

I feel your pain!
Jason (Vette2Vette) had several hoods for sale - I bought a 92 for ~$700, as I recall. The front bumper was a gift, and I had to have the bumper support (frame) straightened about 3/4" (pulled down).
I opted to paint the entire car, and all totaled about $6k parts, paint, labor.
Mine got hurt at a racing event. So, the whole thing was on my dime. However, it is a ZR-1, and my baby. And, it looks better now than ever (w/ new rugs and mats too)
