I don't feel a bit sorry for the driver/owner. Too bad if he had a bad day. If alcohol had not been involved he probably would not have collided with the pole. Hopefully a DUI arrest, suspension or loss of his license and costly repairs to his Corvette will take him off the roadways and make them safer for the rest of us.

No sympathy from me except that poor car being in the hands of a person with no respect for others by driving under the influence of a drug or alcohol. That pole may have saved the lives of others because you don't know what could have occurred down the road. The only influence people should be driving under is "FUN" not a substance.

It says "alcohol may have played a part".... IF it did..... the driver is a douche bag.... IF not, then I'm sorry for the grief. Either way, I feel bad for the car...

Sucks either way, BUT I have been around a long time. I'll bet some of the almighty judges in this thread have been drinking and driving at some point in their life.
A person had an accident. Drinking and driving was not only a mistake but a bad choice IFFF that is what happened..
People do it and have been doing it and won't stop.
Kind of a cruddy feeling to see people throwing stones when they don't know the whole story and or just taking the opportunity to do so even with a story like this.
This person might well one day be a completely different person or maybe is a great person that made a mistake.
Why are people talking like he shot up a school or church? OR even to be related got drunk and said he wanted to use a car as a weapon.
