That one looks like it has '84 or '85 wheels on it. They're neat cars, though.

Back in the day, Malcolm Konner's Chevrolet was THEE dealership to check out for a Corvette. My 69 was serviced there a number of times. The Corvette mechanic that worked on it, Billy Kamphausen of USAC and INDY car fame! Visiting Konner Corvette was like visiting a candy store for Corvette fanatics.

It was a great place to work were else do get to Drive at least one or two Brand New Corvettes every day, and Billy Hell of a Nice Guy to work for him and probably one of two of my closest friends at the Time David Fulcher. The whole Konner Family as well as all the Technician's all were fully committed to and took Great Pride in their Reputation in the Corvette World.

I remember all Preparation leading up to the Rally from Bowling Green to Paramus, Tee Shirts, Hats and other things I probably still have some buried deep in some deep box. Once back in Paramus the Body Shop Color Matching BBS Rims then one of us swapping out the Rims.

I remember it well. I first went there in 1967, a brand new 427ci coupe was sitting in the showroom.
I bought my new 2006 Vette from that same dealership; Konner no longer owns it, but they still sell & service lots of Corvettes.
I even saw Zora Duntov there at a Corvette show back in 1991, & I kept the souvenir hat.

Have any of these been NCRS judged? Since they came off the BG assembly line they should be NCRS eligible

We need to develop a list of all the minor details. These details should be in the NCRS manual. Keep in mind that this is not a kit car. It was factory produced. The old RPO thing.

There was a MK dash plaque. Not serialized.

Was there a MK RPO?

Default Malcolm Konner Corvette

According to the Corvette Black Book in 1986, RPO 4001ZA was for the Malcolm Konner Special Edition (Coupe), 50 Units were produced and the cost of the RPO was $500.00.

Yes, some of these Malcolm Konner Corvettes have been judged by NCRS. How many and to what level, I do not know.

I did see one last year at a NCRS Chapter Meet in New Jersey.

First Photo was taken at Corvette's @ Carlisle.
Second Photo was taken at the NCRS Chapter Meet in New Jersey.
