What was in the motor?

Memorable to me cuz I wasn't involved, other than showing the car and a stranger challenged hom.😅

They said it was a nice car. Where is the insult?

So they didn't know what model it was. They didn't know. It's not personal.

Actually the front of the later C4s does look a little like the 300zx so their confusion could (and should) be excused.

I don't know about you but I am not hard up for complements so only qualified complements are desirable. This certainly isn't one. I mean, you don't know what it is and you think the owner doesn't either? Epic FAIL in the qualification department. Sure, no insult but not complement isn't worth anything either. What would he know at this point? That is valuable information, that is.

Wouldn't be insulted but just a waste of time to process that meaningless complement. Now if it a complement from John Force, sure thing. ******** Joe? WGAS. Would be a waste of my time to continue the education process.

I am not hard up for compliments either, but I am willing to accept the positive and dismiss the negative, most of the time. I like my car and I don't care much what other people think. I'm trying to enjoy life and I have better things to do than criticize someone for not knowing what kind of car I drive. I'm even willing to look past it if they question if I know about my own car. Heck, that's a good chuckle, I should smile and thank them! Takes all kinds to fun this screwy world. Life is short, pick your battles.

I would have just pointed to the huge corvette name embossed in the rear bumper.

Ahhh people who don't know about cars.

I joined the Corvette Club of UT when I first got my first 'Vette, back in '06. The CC of UT wasn't for me. The first cruise we went on (SLC to Jackson WY) seemed promising. We met in a grocery store parking lot in Ogden...there were maybe 20 'Vettes or so? I was driving my brand new C6, and my wife was driving her '92 Stealth RT/TT (remember those?). SO here we are, among a bunch of CORVETTE OWNING, CORVETTE....enthusiasts. (?) Right? Aren't we?

I don't know, because no less that 4 Corvette owners asked my wife and I about our 4 passenger, AWD, Twin Turbo Corvette! WTF.

No, you shouldn't have been insulted for someone's stupidity & ignorance - I would've been alarmed as a couple of villages were temporarily missing their idiots for the day

Most youngsters today are more interested in the Wattage of the sub-woofer amp!

Why be insulted? My car is not considered a corvette anymore.

If a Ferrari I might care... might.
