Default 96 Sport Seat Problem

Just got my new LT4 home in the garage and noticed the side bolsters do not function. I can hear the sound of the motor when the button is pressed but the bolsters don't move...anyone have this issue or know the path I should take to fix it?

If the pump is working, it is possible that the badders or lines have failed. Mine will air up, but almost immediately leak down

I think you are confusing bolsters with bladders. The bolsters are just solid pads that move in and out to hold driver in position during spirited driving.

The bladders support back and lower spine (lumbar).

To the OP..... if the motor is working, you will have to access the seat back to fix bolster mechanism.

Maybe, but mine seem to "pump up"/wrap around, and then "leak" down............

He mentioned LT4, so 96.

Pop up the bottom seat cushion. There is a metal retainer clip near the front edge of the cushion. Push down of the front of the seat from the top while releasing the cushion retainer from the front lip of the seat cushion frame...seat bottom cushion will then lift out. Inspect the hoses connecting pump to control module and both solenoids for restrictions or leaks to start with, possible a hose is lose or off.

That's what I thought, but the FSM is indicating else wise, unless I'm misreading it. But now that I think about it more, I don't think the side lumbar's are bladders, I do think it's mechanical pad at least that's what I always thought mine were.

Still OP pull the bottom seat cushion and inspect connectors and air hoses to start with.
