Gift for husband

Gift for husband
My husband recently acquired his grandfathers 1985 corvette, and his birthday is coming up. I'm not too car savvy. Is there anything I can get him as a gift that you guys have liked/wanted, like in general, without flat out asking him?? Thanks

A nice set of embroidered mats would be nice...go on eBay...cost like 70-80 bucks shipped. You should just know what color interior he has.

A set of Lloyds mats
Most floormats are cheap, poor quality thin and have lousy coverage
They are affordable and will match the color. A car guy would appreciate them and no assembly required! Worth every penny
Cant go wrong there.

If he is going to work on the car himself, a FSM (factory service manual). Check Ebay or Amazon, should be able to find a set for ~$100.

Safety Car
This would be my first. 2d choice would be a jacket. Third would be some metric sockets and wrenches if he doesn't have any already.

Depends on what kind of shape the car is in. If it's in really good shape still I would lean towards something like the jacket or the nice floor mats that others have suggested.
If it's going to need some work then definitely FSM/tools/summit racing gift card in that order lol

Does he intend to work on it himself? If yes, then make up a gift certificate to help him work on it for a couple of hours. I wish I could talk my wife into helping me with our Corvette.

What condition is the car in and is he handy with the maintenance?
I mean, I could suggest things I'd love, but he might not need or be able to use himself.
What's the budget?

Some ideas:
- C4 Key Chain
- C4 Baseball Hat
- C4 Jacket
- C4 Floor Mats (make sure you match the colors to the body)
- DA Buffer (pick up in any Automotive store or online) - its a buffer for getting the car really clean...Harbor Freight has them for $50
- Laminated Window Sticker and Build Sheet - Call the Corvette Museum and order a copy of the original window sticker and build sheet for his car - you just need to give them the VIN on the car - costs about $110 and is really cool to have and is valuable when reselling...

Thanks you guys, I had no idea floor mats would be so popular! He is working on it himself and he's pretty handy, but the car is in pretty good condition. Are there any less expensive universal uogrades you guys would consider?

Lindsey...I have told my wife and kids that for every gift-giving occasion, anything Corvette is well appreciated. I have received, 2 hats, t-shirts with C4 emblems, Hotwheel models, model kits and one of my favorites is a subscription to Corvette magazine which is very informative and makes for an interesting read. My hat is off to you for your thoughtfullness and concern.

Have the windows tinted for him. It will keep it cooler in the sun and it looks great, too.
Or take a trip to the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY.
C4 tee-shirts are always fun to receive.

Rear tires. :-)
The window sticker is always cool, and ypu could get a nice picture of it now, then get a nice picture of it finished, and put it all in a frame for him.
There's always plenty of corvette related "stuff" out there. If he's gonna be working on it, I'd recommend a rolling stool to sit on. It sounds silly but it's nice to have. And rechargeable led work lights make life easier too.
