Default New Toy 91 convertible

Hi guys,

I've been in the C3 forum for several years but a couple weeks ago got my first C4. A 91 Convertible. When i got it there was no exhaust open long tube headers, i re-installed the original exhaust from the Y pipe back , used a TPIS 3" Y pipe. It ran ok with the open headers, but now it seems to struggle and has no power. The old engine (has a L98 out of a Z28 in it now) blew coolant through the cat, so i'm thinking the cat is clogged. Also i pulled the drivers valve cover to check the head numbers, i swear i labeled the injector wiring and re-installed like it was. Seems all the drivers injector wires colors are the same? How can i verify that they are in the correct position?

Thanks
Don

Very nice looking convertible. They are bank fired, so it should not matter which connector goes to which injector.

beautiful car! i realize you're not a new corvette owner but you are new to the C4? if you are interested i have a DIY youtube channel specific to the C4 (i showcase my 95...same body style as and interior yours) you can check out if you'd like. It's fairly new but there are close to 30 vids so far and they are still coming.

anyways love the car!! i'm currently looking for another one too and i've been eyeballing the 91's. keep us updated!!!

Thanks for that info, i'm new to the C4 but have done various resto-mods since the mid 70's. I thought the L98 was bank fired but wasn't sure. I've had my 68 427 Coupe since the late 90's, and currently have a 71 Nova SS, 69 RS Camaro, 69 GTO among other old cars. The 91 i bought as an incomplete project. It's needy, but good raw material!! Needs carpet, new top, weather striping, some odd electrical issues with the gauges and the convertible boot.

Thanks again!
Don

Thanks,
I'm just getting into the various issues it has, with older cars there's always a list.
