Default Meguiar's products

Love me some Meguiar's! Here is the '94 (and my peace sign reflection) from 10' away after using Meguiar's polish followed by a thin coat of their Gold Class wax.

23 year-old paint looks like it just rolled out of the showroom.

Your paint is in good shape.
No wax/polish product can make poor paint look good, not even Meguire's.

23-year old Corvettes have paint that usually looks better than 23-year old Toyotas because we keep the Vettes waxed and in garages their whole lives.

Looks great! Next time try their NXT 2.0 wax (purple bottle). I swear by it and have all my family/friends hooked on it.

Nice! I recently stopped using Megs other than their Gold Class soap. Not that I wasn't satisfied, just like trying out different car care products from time to time. For wax, I know use P21S 100. The water beading on it is amazing, and when you rinse off the soap during a wash, the water beading is simply excellent.

How is the durability of the 2.0? I remember using the original NXT way back and it was good but didn't last that long.

Very good as it is a Polymer wax. I sometimes put a coat of pure carnauba to give it even more depth.

Just got my '90 painted the 1st week of July. How long should I wait to wash, wax and polish it and what product is the best for protection and deep shine?

As far as how long to wait - talk to your painter. They should have a tech sheet on the products they used. Same with what to put on it.

Best to abide with the finish manufacturers recommendations.

Once your painter is satisfied the paint is cured, have a "clear bra" installed.
Do this before you start driving and chip the paint.

I've been really liking Griots lately. Now the brand is available at Autozone & O'Reilly's/Kragen
